Policy for Class Cancellation due to Weather

Class cancellation due to severe or dangerous weather conditions. Shihan Williams, the instructors and staff at WMAF feel that safety of our students and family is priority number 1. In that regard WMAF will adhere to the following policy for weather related class cancellation:

• If Loudoun County Public Schools announces that schools are closed due to inclement weather, then there will be NO WMAF After-School Program for the day.
  
  
• LCPS closings are announced on local television and radio stations, as well as the LCPS website.
  
  
• A decision about WMAF karate classes will be made by noon and notification of class cancellation will be posted on the main page of the website.
  
  
• If LCPS and/or private schools attended by our After-School students close EARLY due to inclement weather, WMAF will pick up the children and bring them to the facility until parents, guardians or other authorized persons are able to pick them up.
  
  
• If LCPS announce a two-hour delay that results in a two-hour delay of A.M. Kindergarten, we will pick up AM Kindergarten students one hour later than usual and bring them to the center.
